Carlos Marin, a member and singer of “Il Divo”, has died.
The band “Il Divo” announced the death of “Carlos Marin”, baritone singer at the age of 53.
Other members of the group, Urs Boehler, David Miller and Sebastian Izmar, tweeted on Sunday that they had paid tribute to Marin.
“For 17 years, the four of us have been together on the amazing Il Divo route and will miss our friend,” the statement said in part.
Earlier, the El Divo group announced on December 16 that Marin had been hospitalized.
The cause of the singer’s death is still unknown, but Spanish media have reported that the singer was intubated after being transferred to the intensive care unit of a hospital in Manchester.
The El Divo group had postponed the continuation of their December tour in the UK due to illness. Of course, “Marin” was on stage this month.
Il Divo was formed in 2003 by Simon Cowell. Born in Germany to Spanish descent, Marin is an American, Miller is a
Swiss, and Izmbar is a French member of the group.
