Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once again criticized and threatened Greece and said again that Greece is not Ankara’s counterpart politically, economically or militarily.

According to trends , quoted by Anatolia news agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after the cabinet meeting again: “I want to remind you about Greece, which has recently increased its harassment and rudeness towards our country. Greece is not on our level because it is not equal to us politically, economically or militarily.

As tensions between his country and Greece escalated, Turkey’s president warned Athens not to overdo it, warning that Turkey will do whatever it takes when the time is right.

Referring to the historical events related to the Turkish coast of Izmir and the removal of Greek forces from there by Turkish forces a century ago, the Turkish president said: “Greece, look at history, look at the past, if you overdo it, you will pay the price.” “It will be heavy. Remember Izmir.”

Meanwhile, the European Union has recently reacted to Erdogan’s threats to Greece a few days ago and has expressed concern about this.

According to the sources of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey, in the first eight months of 2022, Greece has violated the airspace and territorial waters of Turkey more than 1,100 times.

Turkey, a NATO member for more than 70 years, has complained about Greece’s repeated rhetoric and provocative actions in the region in recent months, including the arming of islands off Turkey’s coast that are demilitarized under a treaty, saying the target One of such measures is to neutralize the efforts based on goodwill of this country in favor of peace.

Erdogan also said that he will begin a three-day tour of the Balkans, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia, on Tuesday.

He added: As Turkey, we are the representative of peace, tranquility, development and equality in this region, where we have recently seen an increase in tensions, and we continue to fulfill our duties. The Balkans is a priority for Turkey not only for political, economic and geographical reasons, but also because of historical, cultural and human ties with this region.

Erdogan also expressed his solidarity with Pakistan after more than 1,300 people were killed and agricultural lands were destroyed, millions of people were displaced and infrastructure was destroyed in this country due to floods and he said: We cannot face this problem that causes problems. It becomes very (other), let’s remain indifferent.
