Unpacking: All Achievements/Stickers Guide

Unpacking has a variety of achievements, called Stickers, that players can try to complete, but some of them are difficult to figure out.

Updated on February 27, 2022, by Mina Smith: Some more information on things that players can do to get all the achievements in Unpacking has become more known as the game has garnered more fans. Unpacking is available on Xbox Game Pass, making it accessible for anyone with a Microsoft console or Windows who wants to try it out.

This article has been updated to include a paragraph of the purpose of Stickers and what players can use them for within the game.

For anyone looking to finish this wholesome indie game with 100% completion, they’ll need each and every one of these Stickers to get there, so every bit of new information can help out.

What are the Unpacking achievements?

The rest of the achievements all require that players go above and beyond what is needed to complete the game, and this is the same whether players are playing Unpacking on Xbox Game Pass, Switch, or PC.

These Stickers are:

  • Gotta Flush ‘Em All – Flush every toilet in every level of Unpacking’s relaxing simulation.
  • Solve a Puzzle – Pick up the Rubic’s cube in any level it appears in and click the right mouse button (B) until the Rubic’s puzzle is solved.
  • Blast Some Tunes – Right-click on one of the many music players in the game.
  • Strike a Pose – Find the wooden human mannequin and right-click on it until it has changed poses several times and returns back to its original pose.
  • Electrical Hazard – This is the darkest of all the achievements in this wholesome indie game; players have to put a toaster or electronic in any bathtub or sink.
  • A Sometimes Food – The main character’s cookie jar follows her for the first several houses; put that jar on the highest possible shelf in 2004.
  • Game On – Interact with the blue, square console (it looks like a Gamecube) while it is placed near the TV. It should turn on and turn the TV screen on as well.
  • Tidy Whities – Take all of the narrator’s boyfriend’s socks and underwear in 2010 and put them all in one drawer, lined up neatly.
  • Brew Some Coffee – In 2010, take all the items needed to brew coffee out of the various cabinets and shelves and collect them on the counter. Players will need the narrator’s electric tea kettle, the mug, the kitchen scale, both coffee bean grinders, coffee beans, the espresso maker, the pour-over gravity coffee maker, the milk warming cup, and the chrome gooseneck kettle. These items can be found in the bottom drawer in the kitchen and in the upper glass-faced cabinets.
  • Put all of them on the counter near the sink. This is the most difficult and convoluted of the Stickers in this indie game.
  • Rediscover Childhood – In 2012, open the sliding shelves and take out the Lisa Frank-looking poster from the narrator’s childhood and hang it on the wall again.

Hardest Achievements In Unpacking And How To Get Them

Not all these actions you must do to complete the goals are clear; some are very tricky to figure out.

Only by clicking on everything you can interact with or placing items in a certain way can you discover the answers.

Some achievements, like starting the game or finishing a chapter, are granted automatically and others will leave you scratching your head realizing you missed something.

Whether you are a completionist or not, this unique indie title is relaxing and inviting to play for hours on end or just a few minutes.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Unpacking features 8 levels with 10 story-related achievements and 15 achievements that are more based around the puzzle aspects of the game. This includes placing a hat on a head (Hat on head (60G)) or solving an equation (Brilliantly solved (60G)). You should easily complete every level; however, some of the puzzles may stump you.

Thankfully, there is an option in the Accessibility menu that makes the game markedly easier: check off the box to “allow items anywhere” and this eliminates the need to figure out where the items go after you unpack them. Simply place the items anywhere in the room with this enabled.

Unpacking Sticker Guide: How To Get Every Achievement

In Unpacking, players are tasked with unpacking boxes and moving the main character into eight different homes, each of which features several Stickers that can be earned as achievements.

How many achievements are in Unpacking?

With simple puzzle-solving gameplay and a chill aesthetic, this charming indie game takes players on a journey through the main character’s life as she moves from house to house, unpacking her belongings and fitting them into each new space. Spanning 21 years, each home represents a new era of her journey, and players watch as her family and career grow and change with each house she moves into.

While the full story of Unpacking is never explicitly stated and the main character is never introduced, the game weaves a beautiful narrative through the belongings players unpack in each stage. As the main character gains new things and leaves others behind, her story unfolds, and players get to know her incredibly well without ever even truly meeting her. From her childhood bedroom to her first family home, Unpacking’s tale is incredibly poignant, invoking a nostalgic vibe complemented by its colorful pixel art and soothing soundtrack.
