The top-ranked Crimson Tide will face the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium for the College Football Playoff national championship.

Head coach Nick Saban and top-ranked Alabama landed in Indianapolis on Friday evening in advance of Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The Crimson Tide (13-1, 7-1 SEC) will face No. 3 Georgia (13-1, 8-0) in a rematch of last month’s SEC title game in what will be the former’s ninth championship game appearance in the last 15 years.

“We’re really pleased with the opportunity to be in the College Football Playoff,” Saban said. “It’s obviously a great venue. This is a great place to have such a venue. Indianapolis has a lot of traditions here, whether it’s the combine, whatever it is. We spent some time here in the past, and this is a great city. Our players are certainly looking forward to the challenge.
“Mr. (Bill) Hancock and the College Football Playoff group do a great job to create a great opportunity for teams that make it here. Georgia’s got a great team, and this is gonna be a great challenge for us.
