Take this medicine orally, usually every 4 to 6 hours with a full glass of water (8 ounces / 240 ml), unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this medicine. If you have stomach upset while taking this medicine, take it with food, milk or an antacid.
For certain conditions (such as arthritis), regular use of this medication may take up to two weeks before you can enjoy its full benefits.

It is not recommended for use in pregnancy from the 20th week until delivery. If your doctor determines that you should take this medicine between 20 and 30 weeks of pregnancy, you should take the lowest effective dose as soon as possible. You should not use this medicine after 30 weeks of pregnancy.
Ibuprofen during breastfeeding: This drug passes into breast milk, but is unlikely to harm an infant. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
