More than 2,000 flights canceled in the United States due to the winter storm

Airlines across the United States have canceled or delayed 2,280 domestic flights over the weekend due to winter storm warnings in the southeastern region of the country. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued hurricane warnings for North and South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia.

Extreme cold warning

So far, 2,000 flights have been canceled for Sunday. The weekend winter storm is expected to have a significant impact on flights, especially to Charlotte International Airport (CLT).

According to the National Weather Service, the system is a massive storm from the Midwest to the eastern United States, and daily life in parts of Georgia, Virginia and Carolina is expected to be paralyzed by cold and frost.

CNN meteorologist Alison Chinchar said Saturday morning ice and extreme cold were the biggest problems in the next 48 hour
