the last of us part 1 remake release date

A senior member of the Naughty Dog game studio announced that the game The Last of Us: Part I for Sony PlayStation 5 is incomparable to the 2013 version of The Last of Us.

In response to a user’s question about the gameplay of The Last of Us Part I, Jonathan Benins, as the senior environment texture designer working at Naughty Dog, said that this remake is not at all comparable to the PS3 version of The Last of Us.

Bennins went on to point out that the criticism of the lack of gameplay development comes from people who haven’t yet picked up a controller and haven’t experienced The Last of Us: Part I. This shows that the remake version of The Last of Us for PlayStation 5 will give gamers a different feeling compared to the 2013 version.

He explained that Nuttydog shouldn’t have added the prone mechanism to The Last of Us Part I, and that’s why he didn’t do it. This mechanism caught the attention of many players in The Last of Us Part II, but its presence in The Last of Us Part I fundamentally disrupts the flow of the game’s combat. Because the environments of the first Last of Ace were not built to support this mechanism.

You can read Jonathan Bennis’ full response to that person below. His message was addressed to people who say that the gameplay of The Last of Us: Part I has not evolved from the old version. “People complain about the gameplay watching a video, but no one has actually put their hands on a controller. Having experienced both versions [you realize] that there is no comparison between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 5 versions (they are not comparable). Also, the lying down mechanism could easily destroy the gameplay and combat atmosphere; Because they were not made this way in the beginning.

In a separate tweet, lead environment designer Naughty Dog said that it was hard to see the gameplay leaked before the developers were ready to show off The Last of Us: Part I; Especially since the leaked content was revealed with low resolution, messed up color gradation and no HDR. Shortly after a few short videos were leaked, Nuttydog took an in-depth look at the gameplay and development of the game in a 10-minute official demo so that players can really see the progress of TLoU Part I.

Earlier, another developer who previously worked on the remake of The Last of Us reacted to the claim of some people that Naughty Dog was aiming to make money from this remake. This person was Robert Morrison, who is currently working at Sony’s Bend Studio. He said: “Actually, this is the most carefully constructed project that I have ever seen or been involved in in my entire career. This work contains the highest possible level of accuracy and attention to detail.”
