Reports suggest something has been brewing behind the scenes for a while and it all came to a head as Raw was being put together and the tag team was given their assignments for the show. WWE released a statement suggesting the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions felt they were being disrespected as champions and that’s potentially one of the truer parts of that statement.
The ongoing back-and-forth began two months ago after Banks walked out during an episode of WWE Raw in May with her tag team partner Naomi, reportedly over creative differences and feeling that the WWE women’s tag team division wasn’t being taken seriously by the company.
